What separates good typography from bad typography? Learn how you can apply 10 rules to save your work from eternal damnation. This workshop will cover core knowledge that every designer should know and includes practical tips and solutions to common typographic problems. Along the way we’ll cover more advanced topics and suggestions that can make your work look better.

Ricky Castro is a partner of the interactive studio IF/THEN. Established in 2004 with Andi Rusu and Jim Catel, the studio seeks solutions that are human-focused, honest, and sometimes unexpected. They have been recognized by the AIGA, Communication Arts and the Webby Awards, among others. Clients include the Henry Art Gallery, the Frye Art Museum, Bungie, KEXP, National Geographic, and Xbox. Ricky teaches typography and graphic design at Cornish College of the Arts and IF/THEN studios. He is currently serving as guest faculty at the University of Washington.
