Blogs and Twitter and Yelp, oh my! Customers have more tools at their disposal than ever before to find, discuss, or recommend service providers. But social media tools also increase the level of noise, making it harder to be heard or to manage your reputation. This month, branding and social media specialist Eric Weaver will discuss the practice and importance of branding in an era where customers now often control the conversation, message and perception of your value. In this presentation, we’ll look at the cultural trends behind the rapid adoption of social media, re-examine the art of branding as it applies to this new era, and review the social tools which can help you be found, and more importantly, trusted.

Eric Weaver is a veteran brand strategist and account director with digital powerhouse Tribal DDB. Since the dawn of the commercial Internet, Weaver has worked with organizations like BMW, Brita, FedEx, Ford, GE, Johnson & Johnson, Kraft Foods, the Mayo Clinic, Procter & Gamble, the Clinton Administration and many more, helping them extend their brands and tell their stories online. Recently, he has provided social marketing counsel to UPS, Microsoft, Perry Ellis, Puget Sound Energy and Nature’s Path Foods.
